Abstract EN

The research demonstrates the importance of using the Vertical component of the magnetic field in the very low frequency Profiling measurements for the determination of inhomogenity zones (fault, fractures … ).

The use of the gradient of Hz values increases the accuracy of determination of the anomalies .The theoretical of Hz values and their gradient are calculated for certain anomaly (body) and field measurements of Hz have been executed in two areas 1:in basalt area and 2:in sedimentary area.

The results were encouraging in both studied cases.
