Abstract EN

The study aims to shed light on the role of governance and its contribution to banking risk management, as the latter is a fundamental pillar of governance in banks under the separation of ownership from management.

The descriptive approach was used to describe and analyze the role that governance can play in supporting banking risk management and rationalizing its work to achieve risk management in banks.

The study concluded that adherence to the principles and mechanisms of governance would activate the role of banking risk management in line with the objectives of the shareholders, depositors and stakeholders and increase their confidence.
