The effect of phenolic compounds, which were extracted from leaves of Dan and Toufahi sorts of Syrian olives, which spread particularly in Damascus country side, on the activity of catalase in the cells of Kolioptyl Zea myse L.

was studied.

Solutions of Three different concentrations of phenolic extacts are used in the work : 25%, 50% and 100% and the effects had been studied on catalase enzyme activity by lap for 24 hours in these Solutions.

Effect of catalase were examined by the determination of H2O2.

Results showed that the most effective concentration was that of 50% of phenolic extract from the leaves of dan and toufahi by inhepiting the enzymes activity .
