Abstract EN

A person suffering from Broca’s aphasia is often exposed to depression as a result of his loss of many functional skills which he could easily do before being affected, such as the ability to speak and walk the fact that Br oca’s aphasia is often accompanied by paraplegic in addition the patient feels that his position in the family has been disrupted and this is not easily accepted and lead him to fall into the spiral of depression which negatively affects his psychological and speech therapy.

Indeed, our field obsen’ations confirm that some of these cases completely refuses treatment, this is what constitutes a real danger to the case because the disease is not alone affects the patient negatively but also the psychological problems caused by the disease, such as depression, which makes difficulties for the speech therapist to treat the patient.

This study attempts to highlight the difficulties faced by the speech therapist in the treatment of depressed cases of adults suffering from aphasia in the frame of a field study conducted by the researcher at Chief hospital depending on the criterion B.E.C to evaluate the aphasia and the criterion of peck to evaluate depression in study cases.
