Abstract EN

The increasing number of banking crises due to the lack of management of bank risks in general and the increase in financial losses resulting from operational risks in particular have forced the International Banking Supervision Committee, known as the Basel International Committee, to take precautionary measures to manage and reduce these risks.

This paper deals with the theoretical analysis of the principles and methods of managing operational risks in banks according to the decisions of the Basel International Committee.

The basic amendments of the Committee to the Capital Adequacy Requirements of the Second Agreement and to the approaches proposed by the Committee in measuring risk As well as reference to the most important changes related to the management of operational risks in Basel III.
