Abstract EN

The educational system in the Algerian universities knows a pedagogic reform after several reforms, including recently, where the LMD system was adopted.

LMD is an abbreviation of terms (bachelor, master and doctorate) as an alternative to the "classical" system in 2004, which is an important and serious step towards the Algerian university's involvement in the global systems of quality of higher education.

Algerian legislator has tried through this global educational system to reconsider the Algerian university's adaptation to the economic and social environment, and try to provide a guidance system that accommodates academic and professional desires while complying with international standards in the evaluation, ranking and classification of universities; where universities had entered the world of competition to ensure the quality of higher education.
