Abstract EN

The study aimed at determining the reasons for the lack of use of human resources in Saudi universities and King Khalid University in an optimal manner, summarized the study in several questions: Is the difference between the major specialization and the functions of the current job title leads to the lack of optimal utilization of human resources in Saudi universities and King Khalid University? The study was based on the historical and descriptive analytical method.

A questionnaire was designed and distributed to the research community, which consists of the heads of departments and directors of the administration at King Khalid University.

There was a significant effect at the level of significance (0.05) for the absence of classification and occupational and functional characterization on the weakness of human resources management and planning.

The result was a mean value of 0.042 which indicates that the absence of classification and occupational and functional characterization has a significant impact on the weakness of human resources management and planning.

The study also recommended: to address the reasons for the lack of optimal utilization of human resources in Saudi universities and King Khalid University radically.
