Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of psychosocial adjustment of normal and disabled students enrolled -in the Inclusive programs in the Najran area within the basic stage.

The study also examined the nature of the differences between the normal and the disabled, on the one hand, and among the disabled themselves.

The sample consisted of 71 students: 20 of them were normal, 20 were with learning difficulties, 15 were with visual impaired.

and 16 were with hearing impaired.

The psychosocial adjustment scale was applied.

The results showed that the average overall estimate of psychosocial adjustment among normal students was moderate, while the overall average of the three disability categories (learning difficulties, visually impaired, and hearing impaired) was low.

The results indicated that there were differences between the normal and the disabled in the average overall estimate of psychosocial adjustment for: the normal.

There were also differences between the disabled in the average overall estimate of psychosocial adjustment for the learning difficulties' students, while the results did not indicate differences between the visually impaired and the hearing impaired.

The results also indicated that students with disabilities suffer from problems in forming friendships, report anxiety symptoms and avoid group meetings.
