Abstract EN

This study aims to impact a unit in history in the light of the global education principles on knowledge of eighth grade students of these principles .

The study sample consisted of (100) eighth graders of four sections from schools of Zarqa Zone Directorate of Education during the school year2008-2009.

Two sections were randomly chosen to represent the experimental group that consisted of (50) students.

The other two sections were also chosen in the same manner to represent the control group that consisted of (50) students.

The study sample of the curricula was the Curriculum of the World History in the Modern Ages for the eighth graders.

The results of this study showed, in the light of the content analysis carried out by the researcher, that the most available principle of global education in the history curriculum of the eighth basic grade were in the fields of Global Peace, Countries and Cultures, Human Rights, The UNO, and humans and the environment.

The results further showed significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) favoring the experimental group, on the test of the knowledge of the principles of global education, , pursuant their study of a unit of the developed curriculum.
