This research seeks to study the relationship between the self and the other as expresse different formats such as the suffering of the Arab in the west, and his inability to integrate into Western society, especially in relation to the forms resulting from different values and traditions And the social habits between the east and the West, as well as the analysis of the problems facing the Arab in Western society, including the issue of integration into Western society, the relationship with Western women, alienation, self-narrative and the Problem of identity, and the role of the place in the demarcation of the boundary between the self and the other.
