Correlation of poetry and religion in the novel Samarkand to Amine Maalouf The novel "Samarkand" by Amine Maalouf, Lebanese novelist of French expression, raises several questions related to the Arab and Oriental human in general, in particular the problem of religion and how the treaty in the Arab countries and at the level of relations between the ego and the other.

Amine Maalouf had propagated her ideas her concerns through the poet and healer Omar Alkhyam who is a true historical hero and a learned Muslim philosopher author of "the Samarkand manuscript": quatrains of poetry that addresses the religious side, role para port to the Persian society of his time; after his death and accompanying Omar Le Sage the American narrator who is obsessed with the search for manuscript to evoke interest from the West by the East by focusing on the religious side.
