Abstract EN

Manufacturing is one of the most important branches of the industry, which is a major key to the economic development process and directly or indirectly affects many other sectors.

This study is intended to analyze the reality of the manufacturing industry in the State of Qatar which is one of the Arab countries which in recent years has tended to follow economic diversification as an alternative to dependence on hydrocarbons, and this through analyzing the most important data issued by the official institutions.

The study found that the manufacturing sector is the main sector in the Qatari economy after hydrocarbons, contributing 10% of the real GDP, with a continuous increase in the volume of investment and employment in the sector, with registration of chemical industry dominance over this sector.
