Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to investigate the development of the technical capacity of the students of art education at King Faisal University, in addition to identifying the diЊerences in performance on the tests of technical ability and its relation to the variable of acceptance test in the field of art education and gender variable.

Їe study was applied to (72) students who are enrolled in the specialization of art education for the academic year 2016/2017 at King Faisal University.

Їe sample was of the same group type.

Їe study used the technical ability tests of the researcher’s design to measure the development of the technical ability of students in the pre- and post-test performance .Їese tests were: engineering test, hollow engineering network testing, graphic testing and cognitive testing.

Їe results showed apparent diЊerences between students in the spatial ability depending on the variable pre- and post-test, and these diЊerences were for post-test .Also results showed a statistically significant diЊerences in the development of technical capacity among students with higher achievement and students with low achievement and they were for the benefit of students with high achievement.

Їe results showed the presence of statistically significant diЊerences in the technical capacity of students due to gender in favor of female students variable.

Їe study recommended that work must be done on further studies in various technical fields and measuring the technical capacity, and measuring students levels in diЊerent fields of technical production.
