Abstract EN

This experiment was conducted in a vineyard in Zaidel area, located 5 km east of homs city during the 2017 season.

adult grape berry moth activity began on 29/3/2017, and the moth had four generations during this season.

the first generation peak was during the third week of April, the second generation peak was during the second week of June, the third generation peak was during the third week of July and the fourth generation peak was during the second week of September.

the highest flight activity was during the moth second generation and reached 105 moths/week/trap.

the use of the sex pheromones of the grape berry moth by applying the mating disruption technique was effective in reducing the numbers of the captured moths to a very low limits, which reached 3 moths in the experimental field, as compared to 325 moths in the control field, during the third and fourth generations.

this method also reduced the number of larvae and moth eggs on infected clusters in the experimental field by 70.2% and 70.5%, respectively.
