This study aims at identifying the relationship between the needs and the performance of the Algerian government employees through the application of Abraham Maslow's five-needs theory of physiological, security, social, assessment and self-realization needs.
the study adopted the analytical descriptive method, together with figures and statistics issued by official and non-official institutions.
the results indicate that this relationship is very close, and that the job performance in Algeria varies between the weak and the sometimes disabled, because these jobs cannot satisfy the different needs of the employees.
