The cognitive substitution that this study attempts to propose is to take care of the literary discourse as a literary sexual with its peculiarities and characteristics-in terms of language and style- which distinguish it from the poetic discourse, which is greatest competitor, which monopolize the interest of most scholars and researchers in the field of methods and from which the study question is: could the narrative prove its existence in the research and studies that were and still are directed towards the topic discourse? was it possible for the old style to show the language of the novel aesthetics or did it narrowed and abused it, and this necessarily necessitates finding a method suited to the nature of the novelist discourse? is what Bakhtin in the field of the stylistic studies of the novel enough to prove the originality of the stylistic word of the novel? And how did Arabic critics and scholars deal with this literary genre?
