Abstract EN

Beauty exists in every part of the universe in different shapes of creation and artistic form.

The problem of the study has specified the shortcoming in limiting the aesthetic and artistic value as well as the functional dimension in designing the clothes.

The significance of the study lies in developing the national industry and raising the level of the quality of the national industry.

The aim of the study is specifying the aesthetic value in designing the clothes and its functional dimensions.

The limits of the study include only the aesthetic value of the national clothes in Erbil governorate/ Iraq for the year 2017.

Chapter two consists of six sections.

Section one includes the artistic components in designing the clothes.

While section two includes the functional side of the clothes design.

Section three covers the aesthetic value of the artistic components.

Section four and five contain the form and the shape of designing the clothes and the structural elements in designing the female clothes.

The last section (six) consists of the human agreement with the environment.

Whereas chapter three includes the opinion of the professionals and the specialists in art and method of research which the researcher has depended on in the procedures of the study.

This study is descriptive/analytic one and some lists are specified to show the artistic parts according to the professional opinions and the items of the lists are arranged and then the selected samples are analyzed.

The total number of the samples is five, and in the light of the analysis of those samples results are drawn to achieve the aims of the study.The researcher has arrived at concluding particular points in specifying the aesthetic values in designing the clothes and their functional dimensions.

Finally some suggestions and recommendations are given in the light of the aims of the study which are presented.
