Abstract EN

The research deals with the "individualism in Jean Dubuffet's paintings" through the contents of plastic arts in general and the art of painting in particular in a way that reveals the term "individualism" and explains its meaning according to Jean Dubuffet's concept of artistic expression.

His paintings are full of self-expression which might be the result that fits the psychological moods, emotional projection and social suitability so that the artist, in a way or another, presents works of different expressive nature, revealing the human true motives relating to the individual and society.

Therefore, the artist sought to create a world away from the mental sensory structure of the society as a whole and directed towards the individual and internal structure, expressing the self to go beyond all limitations, shaping the inner feeling with reference and symbol in order to form their artistic vision of reality.

Dubuffet's trend of individualism is the reflection of Launching the freedom of the individual in the new post-modernity society.

Thus, he started to form and create new shapes, Keeping pace with the civilized development that the society has reached.

As a result of the temporal and spatial connection between individual and society, individualism started to be formed and hold by the post-modernity artist " Jean Dubuffet" to be against everything traditional and popular to give the artist a chance to be more creative in the works of art.

The research problem is formed by the question: is there any technical individualism of style and performance in Jean Dubuffet' paintings? What is the extent of relation between the artist as an individual in the society and the society itself? How is the suitability conducted psychologically and socially? The research objective is to identify the features of individualism in Jean Dubuffet's paintings within temporal limits (1950-2000).

Furthermore, the most important terms have been defined in this research.

The second chapter includes the theoretical framework including three topics: the first topic contains the study of "philosophy of individualism after world war II", the second topic studies " Abstract expressionism between self and subject" and the third topic discusses "plastic and conceptual construction in Jean Dubuffet' paintings" The third chapter includes the research procedures.

Due to the diversity of artist's works, the researcher has deliberately selected 6 samples as the research sample.

She has adopted the descriptive approach and content-analysis approach to analyze the sample.

Also, this chapter includes the tool construction in its elementary and final form.

The fourth chapter contains the results and conclusions as well as recommendations and suggestions.

Some of the most important results reached by the researcher are: 1- The individualism represents the features of absence of State and society control due to modification and removal of real shapes and then reforming and reshaping them in different forms.

2- The individualism appeared through the artist's inspiration of his saved images and activation of absenteeism in the unconscious world to embody them clearly and change them into an artistic work with a new meaning and Self-aesthetic taste.
