This analytical study aims to highlight the role that digital technology can play in modifying the business model, for financial technology companies, especially that the latter arestart-up based on innovation and focus on the customer rather than the product.

The study found that the impact of digital technology on the business model is through the impact on the value chain and the competitive advantage associated with innovation and constant development.

These changes will modifythe perception of return and value, especially with the continuous reduction in transaction costs and failure to submit to traditional forms of regulation.

The study recommends the need to conduct comparative field studies between the banks' business modeland their counterparts in the financial technology companies to monitor changes in this field.
