Abstract EN

The orientalist Clifford Edmund Bosworth is regarded as one of the greatest men of the British Orientalism School for he was an orientalist specialized in the Islamic history and wrote most of his researches if not all about the history of both Ghaznavid and Seljuk States, where he addressed the important aspects which were not studied in detail, concentrating on the military and social organizations as well as the Ghaznavid and Seljuk economic activity.

This research sheds the light on the opinions and views of the Orientalist Bosworth on the religious groups and sects related to the Ghaznavid State as representing the important aspect of the social and religious life of the Ghaznavid State including the talk about (AlKaramiya and Suffi then Shiite and Ahl Al-Thima) group.

Thus, these groups played a great role in the religious life of the Ghaznavid society.

He also focused in his talking on the Ghaznavid State's relationship with those sects and the Role of Sultans in gaining religious men by taking care of scholars and the educated class in the Ghaznavid society.

In view of the importance of the orientalist Bosworth's opinions, the research came to concentrate on the most important opinions and explanations he posed through his addressing the importance of those groups with respect to the importance of each group
