This paper aims to shed light on the reality of desert tourism in Algeria in light of the possibilities and elements possessed by our vast Sahara and the most important challenges facing tourism in this region.

The study concluded that tourism plays a major role in achieving economic development, Required in light of the possibilities available and able to make a quantum leap in the ranking of Algeria at the global level.

Desert tourism in Algeria represents only a very small percentage.

This is due to the security aspect, the lack of infrastructure, the lack of restaurants and hotels, and the lack of promotion of the tourist product.
