And it is the first source of knowledge when learning a second or a foreign language.

The dictionary with its different types is still developing and changing.

For this reason, it is considered as one of the most crucial and beneficial sources of knowledge in the fields of language, it is given a prestigious status in all nations because it preserves its language, heritage and it is a reference to language, and from which we get its terms and meanings.

This is why researchers are still interested in the study of dictionaries at many levels : shape, content, its rules and basics, and the degree that it follows the digital development happening nowadays.

And this has to do with its scientific and educational value in the field of applied linguistics.
