Abstract EN

Allah revealed the books to the messengers in their people's languages in a clear way so that they could understand their meaning.

Allah said: "And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people to state clearly for them" [Ibrahim: 4], The books were revealed in different languages because of the differences of the people that the books were revealed to.

Because of that, it is obligatory for those who study these books to take these differences in consideration.

When some critics do not take this in consideration, it leads to some dangerous creedal effects.

The research explains the consensus by the scholars of the three religions regarding the importance of the linguistically aspect for those who explain their holy texts.

The research explains in the theoretical perspective (the first section) that it is obligatory for the Muslim critic to really understand the language of the people of the book's texts before criticizing it by obeying Allah's command: "And argue with them in a way that is best”.

[an-Nahl: 125], The second part of the research displays examples of the critics' linguistically mistakes in understanding some texts, and the creedal effects of these mistakes.

Some of these mistakes were discussed as an advice for the critics and were corrected with evidences from the Noble Qur'an, the Arabic language, and statements by the scholars of Islam and the People of the Book in an attempt to reach a critical methodology that is free from mistakes.

The research showed that the most apparent creedal effects that were results of the critics' mistakes: 1) Criticizing some of the people of the book's texts that are convenient with the Noble Qur'an and judging them that they were distorted.

2) Rebutting some texts that praised the prophets (May Allah send peace to them).

3) Changing the message of the prophet from a call to belief into a clear call to polytheism The most clear creedal effects amongst the linguistically competent critiques were that they used the diversity of the language in repealing the false doctrines of the people of the book, and showing some places were the Qur'an confirmed the information of the Torah.
