One cannot talk about the socio-economic development without mentioning the role of the university in the process through the results of research labs and graduate studies that could be applied to projects in that sector.

So it is important that the university opens to the economic sector by directing research studies and projects to solve problems facing the economic institutions that are having problems in organizing their archives managing them electronically to facilitate access and delivery.

To collaborate with the university in solving problems, the economic institutions should take students in internship and or training periods to apply what they learned at the university to real situations and improve their solving problem skills.

However, the reality portrays another scenario showing a lack of cooperation and collaboration between the university and the socio-economic sector despite the existence of texts and laws that regulate such cooperation.

So what are the problems behind such lack and what solutions are needed to prepare competent librarians who can us their knowledge and skills to solve the problem?
