Abstract EN

The current study aims at discovering the impact of using of virtual labs in developing the skills of conducting the chemical laboratory experiments with the students of the industrial chemistry department at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Hajjah University and their attitudes towards them.

The researcher used the semi-experimental approach.

The study sample was composed of (50) students of the level two students at the department of industrial chemistry of Hajjah University in the academic year (2017/2018).

They were divided equally into two groups, an experimental group who studied the subject calibrations equalizer in the course of analytical chemistry using the virtual lab and a control group studied the same subject using the real chemistry lab (normal method).

And to verify the questions of the study and its assumptions, the researcher used a note card to measure the skill performance, achievement test to measure the dimension of cognitive, and the measure of the direction towards the default coefficient.

Based on the results of the study, the post cognitive achievement test of the skills of conducting the chemical laboratory experiments of the experimental group that studied using the virtual lab was better than the post cognitive achievement test of the skills of conducting the chemical laboratory experiments of the control group studied with the real laboratory, and improve the trends of the students of the experimental group towards virtual laboratories.

Also the results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the post-measurement of skill performance in the development of the skills of conducting the chemical laboratory experiments with the students of the experimental group and the control group students studied using the real laboratory
