The study aimed at assessing counseling school work through revealing the extent to which counseling programs and services fulfill the needs of students and their personal, social, educational, and professional demands in public education schools from the perspective of male and female students, and identifying the fact of the counseling professional practices from the perspective of student counselors and guidance and counseling supervisors, as well as finding out the differences through the students' responses regarding the extent to which counseling programs and services fulfill the needs of students and their personal, social, educational, and professional demands due to the difference in (gender and educational level), and detecting the differences through the student counselors' responses regarding their counseling professional practices due to the difference in (gender, specialization, experience, and educational level).

The study was conducted on a sample of (572) individuals, including (400) male and female students in different educational levels, and (150) male and female student counselors, and (22) male and female guidance and counseling supervisors.

The study used a questionnaire developed by the female researcher.

The results concluded that arithmetic means of the extent to which counseling programs and services fulfill the needs of students and their demands as viewed by students, and the counseling professional practices as viewed by student counselors and guidance and counseling supervisors, amounted to a high degree, and the degree of agreement on the form statements ranged between (yes – to some extent) or high and moderate.

There were differences in the students' responses regarding the extent to which counseling programs and services fulfill the needs of students and their demands, in favor of the female students and primary school students.

There were differences in the student counselors' responses regarding their counseling professional practices, in favor of the female student counselors and specialists.

There were no differences in the variable of years of experience and educational level.
