This study has been performed to explore the relationship between dogmatism and the meaning of life, and the extent of the differences in each of dogmatism and the meaning of life, based on the difference of some of the demographic variables, and to disclose the effectiveness of the training program in reducing the degree of dogmatism for improving the meaning of life among university's students.

The sample of the study consisted of a number of male and female students enrolled in Psychology Department, at the Faculty of Education – Kafr El - Sheikh University, their ages were between (18 – 21) years.

The descriptive study group consisted of male and female students (n=100), and the experimental group male and female students (n=30), and was divided into two groups, one is control and the other is experimental.

The tools of study included the dogmatism scale for university students (prepared by the researcher), meaning of life scale for university students (prepared by the researcher), social and cultural level form (prepared by the researcher), and the training program to reduce the degree of dogmatism and for improving the meaning of life among university students (preparing the researcher.

The study came to the following results:.

 There is statistically significant negative correlation relationship at the level of (0.01) between the dogmatism and the meaning of life among university students.

 There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of university students who scored high on dogmatism and students with low dogmatism on the scale of meaning of life in favor of the low-level.

 There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of male and female of university students in favor of male at the scale of the dogmatism.

 There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of male and female of university students in favor of female at the scale of the meaning of life.

 There is no statistically significant difference between the average scores of university students at the socio-cultural level (high – low) on the scale of dogmatism and meaning of life among university students.

 There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of the experimental group on the pre and post test on the scale of dogmatism and the meaning of life among university students in favor of the post-test.

 There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post-test of dogmatism and the meaning of life among university students in favor of the experimental group.

 There is no statistically significant difference between the averages of the experimental group in the post- and the follow-up test (after two months of the program) on the scale of dogmatism and meaning of life among university students.
