The study aims at showing women as an effective criterion for the old critic, as will be discussed in its three sections: poetic purposes concerning women, introductions to the old poem mainly structured on women and comparison between the poets.

The women's impact is shown in the linguistic use, poetic meaning and rhetoric; praise and slander according to the critic's reading of the texts, especially in the first era until the end of the fourth century.
