This study aims at exploring the effectiveness of the use of each of the 5 E’s Learning Cycle and Analogies in the development of some of the habits of mind among 7th grade female students in Gaza City.

The researcher has identified research questions to find out the impact of teaching using 5 E’s Learning Cycle and Analogies in the development of some of the habits of mind, and comparing the impact of teaching in the development of some habits of mind.

The objectives of the study are to answer those questions.

Descriptive and experimental approaches are used in the study.

The research consisted of experimentation tools in the preparation of two guides for the teacher for the first unit and the second guide taken from the textbook of geography after being redrafted.

Besides to this, there are two booklets to students according to my way of teaching.

The study’s measuring tool is a scale to measure some habits of mind such as (perseverance, thinking flexibly, application of knowledge in new situations and thinking cheerfully).

The study sample consisted of 120 female students from Nazareth Elementary School "A" in Gaza City in Palestine, divided to three groups, two experimental and the third is a control group.

Each group consists of (40) students.

The results of the study indicated the presence of significant differences in the scale of some of the habits of the mind in favor of the two experimental groups.

There were larger differences in favor of the first experimental group which studied the 5 E’s Learning Cycle.
