Violence is a phenomenon that concerns the humanities scholars for a long time.

Our research is to examine the violence against the body through food practices that sometimes lead to what may be regarded as paradoxical as it seems, as suicidal attitudes: Fasting during Ramadan: by seriously ill, pregnant women and the aged persons.

This is a methodological approach which attempt to give some insight into the explicit and obvious contradiction between a misinterpretation of religion and reality.

Religion is for the preservation of the human being, while those living practices are incompatible with the essence of his spirituality.
