This research paper dealt with the problems caused by translating French judicial discourse into Arabic judicial discourse in the light of discourse used in judgments, which is incorporated language.

Through this paper, the researcher aimed to discuss problems faced legal translator, which are both legal and linguistic and related to formal aspects of judgments.

It was necessary to evoke important features of French judicial discourse especially compulsory one and using readymade expressions and legal style.

in additions, the researcher exposed legal judgment understanding known as a text, which produces legal and linguistic equivalents.

furthermore, legal translator when searching for equivalents before proposing functional equivalents that works similar functions in target legal system and target discourse must know the researcher figures out Arabic legal judicial features and legal drafting that.
