المؤشرات الوراثية لبعض الصفات الكمية في هجن من الشعير (Hordeum vulgare L.)‎

Abstract EN

A half diallel set of crosses among six highly diverse barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) genotypes were evaluated at Karahta station of field crops research (GCSAR) Damascus Governorate, during 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons to study heterosis and combining ability components for plant height, grain yield per plant, number of spikes per plant, number of grains per spike and thousand kernel weight.

Genotypes mean squares, general and specific combining ability were significant for all traits exception, GCA effects for plant height and thousand kernel weight.

Both additive and non-additive gene actions were involved in the inheritance of most studied traits.

Non-additive genetic variance was predominant in the inheritance of most studied traits.

The parental genotype (M-6455) seemed to be the best combiner for grain yield and number of grains per spike traits.

Parental genotype (S-6689) was the best combiner for number of spikes per plant, parental genotype (Arabi abiad mohsan) was the best combiner forthousand kernel weight.

The highest desirable SCA effects were recorded in the hybrid (Arabi abiad mohsan×S6689) and (T-6669×S-6303) for grain yield.
