Abstract EN

The regeneration of two grape rootstocks (B41 and R110), were successfully achieved.

Anthers were used as starting plant material to obtain a complete plant via embryogenesis.

This research was conducted in Biotechnology DepartmentGeneral Commission of Scientific Agriculture Researches- Duoma 2008-2009.

B41 anthers showed a good response to the use of Murashige and Skoog medium after supplemented with 5μM 2.4 D + 1.1μM BA (60%) and 5μM 2.4 D + 0.5μM 2iP (5%).

Whereas, R110 anthers did not register any response, but in the presence of 5μM 2.4 D and 1.1μM BAP, they gave a good rate callus initiation (47%).

The first reaction appeared was the embryogenic callus formation, developed normally to complete plants after subculture on growthregulators free media containing ½ MS salts or WPM salts, compared with that supplemented with 4.44 μM BA which induced a high abnormality and death.

MS medium + BA +2,4 D can be used as initiation medium to get high rate of embryogenic callus, whereas, ½ MS salts or WPM salts can be used to get whole normal plants in vitro when embryos culture on them.
