Quality assurance in higher education has received great attention from many interested, this approach is aimed at continuous improvement and depends on a set of criteria that lead to obtaining accreditation from responsible.

So that outputs of higher education is becoming less good, also they are no longer meet the requirements of the labor market, especially with the global competition, globalization and the spread of international bodies to ensure quality.

This research aims to study the requirements of applying quality assurance in higher education institutions, difficulties and challenges that prevent.

The results of the study showed that it is necessary to overcome all the difficulties that impede the application of quality assurance, whether related to the leadership aspect of the institution or the organizational aspect, the decision makers should take into consideration the success of applying quality assurance system as one of the most important requirements to keep
