Russia's geopolitical priorities under the current international regime aim to penetrate strategically into the Eurasian space so as to achieve a continental integration between Eurasia (the littoral territory) and the center (the Russian Federation).

As such, Russia will become an independent geopolitical power vis-à-vis the globalization that reflects the US-Western domination translated by the activation of the Atlantic mechanism.

The energy variable is one of the main axes of the Russian security strategy.

It allows Russia, on one hand, to monopolize and control the course of the energy game in the Euro-Asian geopolitical region, and on the other hand, it is a decisive factor in the strategy for the return of Russia as a superpower.

Indeed, it is on the energy variable that rely the priorities of the West strategies (EU - US) in its relations with Russia.
