Abstract EN

Political leadership plays an important role in the development of the country' culturally, politically, economically, and scientifically.

Employing best management practices in the leadership of the state provides the appropriate powers to those in charge to enable them to do their duty towards the development and progress of the state.

The objective of this study is to examine the role of administrative and political leadership in the fight against corruption from the Islamic perspective.

The importance of this study manifests in the efficacy of wise leadership in the fight against corruption.

In the Islamic heritage, outside of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) there is perhaps no better example of the significance of political and administrative leadership on combatting corruption and advancing the state than the reign of Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab.

To argue our case, we employ the historical and descriptive analytical method to engage the Islamic heritage in search of illustrative examples from the administration of Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab of how Muslims fought corruption in all its forms.
