Abstract EN

The study aims at identifying the phenomenon of psychological and social alienation for the orphans, focusing on the psychological and social effects that result from the loss of one or both parents, and detecting the relationship between increasing the loss of one or both parents to increase feelings of alienation.To reach that aim, we have used the clinical approach, following a case study technique that focuses on the clinical interview, the semi-directed interview and the method of content analysis.

After presenting and analyzing the results of the four cases, we have deduced that the phenomenon of psychological and social alienation for the orphan is manifested in social isolation, disability, for the three cases, however for the fourth case, the phenomenon of psychological and social alienation deficit only in terms of social isolation and non-normative, due to the environment that contains the case, and which is characterized by understanding and dialogue, helping and motivating these cases to be adapted, by accepting their situations.

Moreover, not all orphans have the same appearances of psychological and social alienation in the same way and style; they differ from one situation to another and cannot be generalized.

In addition, it can be said that the absence of some appearances of psychological and social alienation at a certain stage, it does not mean that it will not appear later, it is associated with changes according to the environment.
