Abstract EN

The suicidal behaviour has become a global phenomenon which spread in many societies widely and rapidly.

It is also an indication of the disintegration of society, and represents a failure individually and collectively in the adjustment to standards and social controls and a separation of the individual from his group, and his un-acceptance to the social system.

And like the other communities, this phenomenon spreads in Algeria increasingly, especially among young people, who are living a reality of exclusion and alienation and marginalization, this predisposes to not differentiate between the means of death, whether drowned in the sea boats “heartburn”, or with a rope surrounds the neck.

And the situation becomes more complex, after it was in the past mere occasional cases, concerning persons of whom suffered neurological diseases, or imbalances in their psychological structure.

The processes of change in Algerian society is caused by the speed and density which produce key social difficulties and can cause the disruption of traditional lifestyles and values and religious beliefs and patterns of daily life, without instead new clear values .
