Abstract EN

This researche aims to study the internal tourism situation in Algeria and the requirements of achieving sustainable tourism development, considering that the tourism sector is important in diversifying the economy and contributing the domestic production of the country and among the proposed solutions to exit the rent economy.

The researchers used a questionnaire to answer the problematic, the study included a sample of 630 citizens according to their gender and place of residence across the country .the study found that the Algerian citizen has the desire to do a touristic tour in Algeria, and that internal tourism in Algeria has a satisfactory level, and also the existence of a sustainable tourism development in Algeria as well as presenting a set of requirements to achieve the sustainable tourism development and come up with recommendations and suggestions.
