Abstract EN

The missed episode in the history of Arabic grammar is the episode of the efforts’ transmission of the emerging stage and establishment since the beginning of science by Abu Al-Aswad Al-Dawali passing by his students and the students of his students until Sebawayeh’s book came out.

Suddenly, the grammar moved from the stage of oral activity and partial codification to the stage of the giant writing Sebwayeh's book.

This missed episode is ignored by many scholars who do not give it its right of care and study.

The research presented its vision of some aspects of the issue, of which they took the conviction and; for the other aspects; raised a set of questions left open to another researcher who might reach a firm answer to what we have doubted.

This has been presented through the following subjects: First subject: Arabic Grammar procession before Sebawayeh.

Second subject - Terminology: Grammarians, and advanced grammarians.

Third subject - the relationship of Sebawayeh book with previous grammatical writings.

Fourth subject: The orality of Sebawayeh for the grammatical status of words.

Through these four investigations the researcher found out that: Sebawayeh's keenness of not showing the book in during his life.

the scientific difference between the level of Sebawyeh's book and its scientific character, the obtainment of some of the writings of Issa ibn Omar benefiting from them, Sebawayeh did not leave in order to gain from the Arabs like did his elders.

The study gave Sebawayeh his worth the history of Arabic grammar, and that his virtue came from his closeness to the scholars of the foundation stage, from whom he took awareness especially the books of Issa bin Amrooma, some of which he expounded and he added to this all his personal contribution.
