This research aims to identify the correlation between intellectual capital and the competitiveness of family businesses in Saudi Arabia.

The study conducted a questionnaire as the main instrument along with a comprehensive lecture review in the field of family businesses.

The study reveals that there is a positive strong ties between intellectual capital and their competitiveness in the Saudi family businesses.

The study also found that there is a statistically significant effect of the "independent variable" (human capital, capital, relations with clients) on the dependent variable (the competitive advantage of family businesses) On the dependent variable (the competitive advantage of family businesses.

The research concluded with a several of recommendations, including the restructuring of family businesses so that they would be developed to have strong organizational structures along with decision making centers in which they are independent from the owners of companies.

Finally, the researcher presented a set of proposals for future research, the most important of which is research on the possibility of estimating the intellectual capital of family companies in a way that contributes to maximizing the value of the enterprise and supporting its competitivenes
