Abstract EN

This research investigated women playwriting in the United Arab Emirates.

The authors observed the intellectual contents and backgrounds of women playwriting literature in the united Arab emirates through studying the contributions of Basima Younis, and Fatima.

The authors applied descriptive analytical approach, and set the time range between the years 2000 and 2010.

The study concluded number of results, towards the variety of social subjects within the context of the feminist literature.

Those subjects ranged from the issues of spinsterhood, forced marriage, divorce, polygamy, expensive dowries, freedom and social protest, the spread of ignorance and superstition.

This study can be beneficial for individuals as well as institutions involved in theatrical research, directorship, authorship and criticism.
