This article deals with the capitalist economy in the region of Skikda during the colonial period, because it studies one of the centers in which the European reconstruction and exploitation of colonial peasant, during the period of French occupation between1838-1962.

This study examines the nature of the agricultural economy in the Skikda region during the colonial period.

This article deals with the issue of French agricultural exploitation in the Skikda region, which witnessed extensive settlement expansion in Skikda and its surroundings.
