Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on one of the obsessions of the creative writing as well as its constants of the Algerian writer Mohamed Dib who is considered as one of the most distinguishable writer in French language in the Arab Maghreb.

He is also classified in the forefront of a generation that was able to confront the French colonization through its language and to write a new French literature with Algerian spirit, preoccupation and worries.

This writer is one of the pioneers of writing and creating under the after-colonial theory which exposes a number of complicated issues concerning the study, the treatment and the disintegration like: the presence of the colonial speech, the rejection of plundering and colonizing, the Binary (east/ south, West/south) and the dialectic of the ego and the others as well as the conflict between them.

The reader of the oeuvre of Mohamed Dib distinguishes that it is based on the conflict between the ego and the others ; in the beginning in its first trilogy (The trilogy of Algeria) accompanying the revolution of the liberation to represent the period of the revolutionary realism.

Then his oeuvre during the period of after independence which reflects two periods; Phantasm realism and critical realism that are the beginning of the change of its creative writing by showing his independent from the mold of the traditional expression and his poetic look inspired from the circumstances of Algeria under the change of the situations that know the retreat of the conflict of the principles allowing that of the interests.

Finally, the novel of “Habel” and his northern writings representing a milestone in the creative course in different levels; they address the subject of the migration and the exile in order to discover himself by expressing his point of view to the European societies and showing the image of the European other.
