This study aimed to recognize on the efficacy of Frayer model in amending the alternative perceptions for some of the scientific concepts for the second intermediate female students in Tabuk city.
The research tool and material were represented in the student, book, the teacher proof in the unit of (plants and environments resources) and the test of diagnosing the alternative perceptions for the scientific concepts.
The semi-experimental method was applied- which is based on the design (before – after) on a random sample of (60) female student of the second intermediate class in Tabuk city.
This sample was distributed on two groups.
One of them is experimental and the other is controlling.
The statistical processing was concluded by (T) test for the independent samples and Black equation for the altered acquiring.
The results resulted the following: There are many alternative perceptions for the scientific concepts in the plants and environmental resources unit for the sample of study students.
Some of which are common with great ratio which reach to (91.6%).
There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05≥a) between the degree’s averages of the experimental and controlling groups in the application after the test for the diagnosis of the alternative perceptions for some scientific concepts in favor of the students of the experimental group.
Decrease of the alternative perceptions ratio for all scientific concepts in the after test for the experimental group.
This refers to the efficacy of Frayer model in amending the alternative perceptions for some of the scientific concepts for the second intermediate female students in Tabuk city.
The researcher recommends to use modern strategies which help in amending the alternative perceptions for the scientific concepts for the learners.
