The current research aimed to identify the impact of navigation style variation (hierarchical-list) in the interactive media on the development of the academic achievement of primary school students in mathematics.

The research problem summarized in the following main question: What is the impact of the navigation style variation (hierarchical-list) in the interactive media on the development of primary school achievement? The researcher used the semi-experimental method to answer the previous question.

The research was applied to a sample of (60) students from the third-grade students who were randomly selected from Awas Ibn Harethah primary school at Medina ALMonawara during the second semester of the academic year 2017.

The students were divided into two experimental groups, of which (30) students were the first experimental group who used the hierarchical navigating style, and (30) students as the second experimental group examined the same multiplication facts using list-navigation style.

After confirming the homogeneity of the two groups, the software was applied to the two groups using different navigation tool.

The research tool was an achievement test that was judged, verified and validated before it was applied to the two research groups.

The research results showed a statistically significant level at p value of 0.05 between the average scores of the two experimental groups in the study achievement test due to the primary effect of the navigation-style (hierarchical-list) variation in the interactive media for the benefit of the group that implemented the application through the hierarchical-navigation style.

The researcher recommends the need to benefit from the results in urging specialists to focus on the production of interactive multimedia software that are designed based on scientific and technical standards and hierarchical-navigation patterns that contribute in the achievement of the required educational objective
