Abstract EN

This study argues that a small state can have a greater regional impact than larger states.

It validates this claim by using the "network analysis" approach to international relations.

This approach deals with the concept of influence differently from traditional schools such as realism and liberalism, which mostly reduced the possibility of small states to exercise regional roles compared to larger countries.

The network analysis approach is relatively recent and is not widely studied in Arab research.

This paper reviews the evolution of this trend and its most prominent concepts and some models before applying it to Jordan between 20112015-.

This era witnessed many regional crises and attempts by large regional states to increase their influence in the regional context.
