Abstract EN

Distinctiveness is a Hadith science.

It has two types: absolute and approximate, each of which has further subtypes.

This study deals with one subtype of the approximate, which is the distinctiveness of countries.

It has been taken care of by Muhaditheen in past and present.

Imaam Abu Dawuud is one of those who adopted this type, identifying eighteen Hadiths in his “Sunan”.

In this paper, the researcher has collected these Hadiths, depending on the famous and reliable narrations, for the purpose of understanding them.

He has shown the Hadiths of this type, pinpointing their truth (authenticity) and weakness.

He has also mentioned those who attribute/do not attribute distinctiveness to Abu Dawuud.

There are several benefits of distinctiveness, the most important of which is that Muhaditheen making a narration of a narrator not from that particular country of one Hadith by a particular Shaykh is an indication of interpretation.
