Abstract EN

Women’s contributions were marked distinctively in the Apostolic State Regime in Yemen (626- 858AH/1229-1454CE).

They contributed in several fields and various activities: scientific, charitable, political and even military.

Several studies have tackled these contributions, specifically in political and scientific spheres.

This article will address the women’s contributions in charitable field in that age, focusing mainly on the women of the Apostolic Palace’s religious and educational establishments such as charitable deeds and charitable waqfs.

It also deals with how these roles can be performed by the civilized women in the present and future.
