Abstract EN

This study aimed to highlight the role and importance of tourism in attracting foreign direct investment to Algeria, particularly in light of the circumstances observed by some of the Maghreb countries and the oil price crisis on world markets, Where the Algerian government must provide an environment conducive to tourism investment through the adoption of a number of laws, the most important of which is the Sustainable Tourism Development act in 2003.

The most important results of this study indicated that despite the efforts employed by Algeria, however, foreign investors expressed insignificant interest due to several obstacles.

More importantly, the study recommended the need to provide a good environment for attracting foreign investment with the need to reduce investment risks and the establishment of a common Arab information network to facilitate Knowledge of laws relating to tourism investment.
